Danny (Sheffield Wednesday) has been one of the founder members of GB since it first began in 1986. Originally the King of despatching orders from the warehouse, he now guides the warehouse manager with operations in the DC. He has extensive knowledge of day to day operations and the skills to deal with the continuing demands therein.
Danny has taken our international sales to another level by working closely with Gary and between them maintaining our already strong relationships with our worldwide export contacts. Everyone else in the company remains convinced they’re just off on “yet another foreign jolly”. He looks after accounts in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the Benelux.
He and Kat work closely together on managing stock levels and print buying, using our computerised stock system.
Danny is proud father to two boys, and is regularly exasperated by his exuberant Boxer dog, Billy. He coaches a junior (under 11) football team, Brunsmeer Athletic, who have been established for 40 years. This qualifies Danny to wear a coach's jacket with 'DW' on it. Proudly.

Gary (Coventry City/Manchester United/Sheffield United) is a football tart. Wherever he can go to see a decent match, he will! A lover of wine, women and song (especially ridiculous ones) Gary looks after the day to day management of the Export Office. With 11 years of experience and knowledge of all export procedures and enquiries, Gary ensures a focused and professional service from all members of the Export team. His sales skills and rapport with customers has ensured continuous growth in sales of our product range.
Gary focuses his attentions on our customers in North America, Germany, Japan, Asia, Australia and New Zealand (so all the good places for holidays then).
Gary likes Oasis very much. And beer. And paté. He is a former beer-belly, but is now reformed as he regularly visits the gym. Gary likes to boast of his only achievement in life which was doing a parachute jump, but he’s drunk so much since then he can’t remember when it was, or why he did it. Other members of staff would say he is tight, but this is complemented by his laid-back attitude to life. |

Kat Lipinska – an enigma or a nutter? From Lodz in central Poland, she is our Export Co-ordinator – which involves dealing with printers, logistics, processing orders, along with helping Danny & Neil keep our shelves full of goodies (cooperating with printers to re-order stock and then making sure it's in on time). Throughout all that she tries to stay calm!
She’s 29 and moved to the UK 3 years ago. She spent a year in Scotland and whilst getting to grips with the English language, she acquainted herself well with her ‘beloved whisky’ when out on the town socialising. Don’t challenge her to a drinking session – her Polish roots means she’s still standing after downing 8 of them!
She regularly tries to wreck her wee apartment by playing with her Nintendo Wii. She has a degree in International Studies as well as her very own toy boy!
As she’s now retired through injury from her favourite pastimes of skateboarding and windsurfing, she has no choice but to support Sheffield Wednesday (which earns her brownie points with her boss!)
Randomly Kat’s favourite things include Harry Potter, driving cars, good music from chill-out to indie and old skool urban music (but likes everyone from Mark Ronson to Justin Timberlake), Little Britain (especially Lou & Andy and Sebastian Love), Dirty Sanchez and Wild Boys, the cinema, and Angelina Jolie! In Kat’s words “A stubborn little devil with a bit of attitude I like my little extremes in life and there's no place for greys for me - it's either black or white.”

Diane has been at GB for a few months now, assisting Danny, Kat and Gary in Export with all the administration required in the department, sorting out paperwork and logistics and 'stuff'.
She previously worked in the slightly more stuffy environment of a bank taking care of loans, bad debt, debt collection and repossessing cars and homes (boo, hiss!)
Amongst her various talents, even though she doesn't look old enough she has a 2 year old daughter Lilyia – who she spends all her time with when she’s not working hard at GB, is a qualified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, is prolific with sign language, used to be in a brass band and can actually play the trombone!! She loves food especially chocolate, Indian and Cantonese.
She likes pink and fluffy things, Sheffield United, football, running, shopping, TV - especially soaps and reality shows, going out with her mates, being a loon on the dance floor with a cheeky vimto and a few aftershocks, singing on the karaoke, playing practical jokes, going on holiday and she hopes to visit her family in Australia when she can brave the long-haul flight! She would love to have a Chihuahua so she could carry it round in her handbag and dress it in cute ballerina outfits!
She has 4 sisters and 2 brothers all younger than her (so she's probably quite bossy!)
